Hello, and welcome to my site!

I'm Lea Ladera—pronounced Lay-ah, like the princess from Star Wars (no surprise, it's my favorite movie). I grew up in Dallas, Texas—the land of big hair and big dreams—and that mindset has definitely influenced me. Like many creatives, I'm endlessly curious. One client even jokingly said my spirit animal is a cheetah, which made me laugh—but I can see why!

I studied advertising at The University of Texas at Austin's prestigious Texas Creative Portfolio Program. Currently, I'm an integrated Creative Director with over two decades of experience helping to build and elevate brands for various Fortune 500 companies. I approach strategies from a consumer's perspective and with an entrepreneurial point of view, which has proven effective.

I've been fortunate to work across multiple mediums—broadcast TV, outdoor, digital, social, influencer, and experiential—while leading teams and winning new business. Throughout my career at top advertising agencies, I've launched campaigns that have received recognition and awards. I'm grateful for these achievements and even more thankful for the incredible mentors who guided me. This experience has inspired me to give back through teaching and mentoring others in the industry.

When I'm brainstorming and generating big ideas, I like to think my brain is on roller skates. I enjoy the creative agility that comes with my work—fancy twirls and somersaults in the air to land in a split. Well, I strive for that kind of creativity with each project. Honestly, I don't enjoy writing about myself—I'd much rather grab coffee and have a real conversation with you. Better yet, I'd love to explore the latest art exhibit or catch a live band together. That sounds way more fun, doesn't it?
